Octal Petrochemicals FZC is a world leading supplier of PET Resin and Sheet. Octal recognised that they needed to achieve Certification to the BRC/IoP Global Standard for Food Packaging and Packaging Materials in order to satisfy the demands of their current and potential world wide customers.
In 2009 Keith Ogden worked with Octal to train factory personnel and to undertake a Gap Analysis against the standard to identify what actions were required for achievement of Certification. A recommendations report was prepared giving clear advice and recommendations for action. These were promptly implemented by Octal resulting in a successful Certification Audit a few weeks later for their Crystal Plant.
In 2010 Octal decided to proceed with BRC/IoP Global Standard certification at their Sapphire Plant and again Keith visited to help identify actions required to improve physical standards, change practices and introduce management systems to achieve a successful audit. Basic Hygiene/BRC Training of production personnel and management was also undertaken during this visit.
For obvious efficiency reasons Keith Ogden was also employed to undertake a Supplier Quality and Hygiene Audit at a Contract Warehouse in Ireland used by Octal for one of their major customers. Keith was able to complete a full audit within one day, including travel, and report the findings directly to the Octal Quality Manager.
Following changes in personnel Keith visited Octal again in January 2012 to complete further Basic Hygiene/BRC Training and to deliver a site/product specific Internal BRC Auditors Course.
